Advent Calendar

Since 2025, I have created a small ritual that marks the beginning of each new year.

Between January 1st and 21st, I leave small artworks throughout the streets of Torres Vedras and Santa Cruz. They are hidden in walls, windows, and unexpected corners. Anyone passing by might find them, take them with them, or simply pause for a moment and feel that something unexpected happened that day.

I called it the Advent Calendar, not in the traditional sense, but as a time of counting and celebration that culminates on my birthday, January 21st.

The idea was born in 2025, when I began as an artist in residence at the Centro de Cultura Contemporânea in Torres Vedras, where I now have my studio base. I felt a strong desire to thank the city and the people who have been opening space for my work and my ideas.

So, each day I leave a small artistic gesture in the street.
A small anonymous gift.
A surprise for whoever finds it.

Above all, this project is a way of giving something back to the community for the support and warmth I feel, transforming public space into a place of encounter, curiosity, and shared experience.

Every year I like to explore something new, this year I’ve made gel prints to share and here are some of the results.
