The illustration work for the Teatro-Cine in Torres Vedras serves as a vibrant invitation to visit this cultural landmark. I was approached by the theater's Artistic Director, Guilherme Gomes, to create an artwork that would enhance its façade, making it even more appealing to the audience. My design proposal was a fusion of the rich history of theatrical literature with the intriguing garments of the Bauhaus movement and my trademark watercolors.

To develop this project, I explored the nuances of classic theater pieces, extracting elements that reference not only the works that have marked history but also the visual impact that the costumes and sets have on the viewer's experience. Bauhaus, with its innovative and functionalist approach, inspired me to incorporate intricate patterns that interact with one another, creating a sense of continuity and movement across the surfaces of the building.

Using watercolor techniques, I managed to capture the softness and richness of colors that characterize the dramatic spirit. Following the watercolor phase, I transferred the composition into the digital realm using Procreate, where I refined and reorganized the elements, ensuring that the final artwork not only respected the character of the structure but also elevated it to a new aesthetic level.

The connection between tradition and modernity, as reflected in my drawings, embodies a visual tribute to a space that harbors stories and emotions—a place that deserves to be discovered and celebrated.
